Deterministic playout and automatic fullscreen output

No viewer or operator Apple toggle

HVN chooses the presentation path automatically for each market. If a market-specific final encoded HLS URL exists, viewers receive that stream and native Apple fullscreen can preserve encoded graphics. If it does not exist, HVN keeps the complete browser-composed player, including station bugs, screen bugs, safety graphics, and the Dolby intro.

Provisioning model

The raw encoder input and final encoded output templates are deployment values, not day-to-day Command switches. Use {market} for National, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Antonio, and Miami. Never point a raw input at its own final output; that creates an encoder feedback loop.

Raw browser source:
https://hvn.example/hvn_live_streaming.html?encoderOutput=1&market={market}

Raw input template:
https://encoder.example/{market}/raw.m3u8

Final output template:
https://encoder.example/{market}/final.m3u8

Acceptance gate

Before publishing a final output template, verify every market output independently, confirm the encoder is not recursing, compare National and all six market timecodes, then test iPhone fullscreen, iPad fullscreen, AirPlay, and ordinary desktop/mobile browsers.

What happens when an output is unavailable

Remove or leave the final template empty. HVN automatically falls back to the raw feed and browser composition. There is no public or Command UI switch that can accidentally enable an incomplete encoder route.

Database update

Apply MIGRATIONS/v36.0-automatic-output-sync-redesign.sql once after the earlier migration chain. It removes the retired manual composition switch and returns every local market to the National parent bus.
